Organic silica is known for its properties to regenerate connective tissue. It's a structural building block.
It consists of elastin, collagen, proteoglycans and structural glycoproteins. At tissue level, it induces proliferation (divisions) of fibroblasts and promotes the regeneration of elastin and collagen fibres. It is the compound most commonly used in mesotherapy (prevention of aging of the skin, improves its firmness and elasticity, cellulite, hair loss).
It is used as a rejuvenating agent.
Organic silica acts as a regulator of cell transformation and division.
It is a metabolic protective barrier at various stages:
- It fights free radical lipid peroxidation
- It inhibits non-enzymatic glycation of connective tissue proteins
- Stimulates and regulates fibroblast divisions contributing to proper skin regeneration.
