Description of action

The UV protection in this preparation is provided only by mineral filters – zinc oxide (6%) and titanium dioxide (4.5%) – which act on the principles of physical reflection and scattering of UV radiation. Unlike chemical filters, they do not absorb into the skin and do not cause photochemical reactions, making them well tolerated by sensitive and vascular skin and by skin irritated after treatments.

Resveratrol at a concentration of 1%, contained in the form of yeast fermentate (Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract), has an antioxidant effect – neutralises free radicals formed under the influence of UV radiation and environmental factors. It complements physical protection of mineral filters with a biological dimension. Tocopherol and tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E and its ester) strengthen the antioxidant effect of the preparation.

Hyaluronic acid (Sodium Hyaluronate) and provitamin B5 (Panthenol) are responsible for hydration and assisted regeneration of the epidermal barrier. This is particularly important in the context of skin after laser treatments, chemical peeling or mesotherapy – procedures that temporarily weaken the skin barrier and increase sensitivity to UV radiation.

To whom?

  • Sensitive and capillary skin – due only to mineral composition of filters without chemical components irritant vessels
  • Dry and dehydrated skin – hyaluronic acid and provitamin B5 support hydration during UV protection
  • Normal skin requiring daily sun protection
  • Skin with discolorations – daily UV protection is crucial in preventing worsening of discoloration
  • Skin after cosmetic treatments and aesthetic medicine (laser, chemical peeling, mesotherapy) – safe recovery requires effective UV protection without potentially irritating chemical filters
  • People looking for a makeup base with SPF protection in one step

Key active ingredients

  • Zinc oxide 6% – mineral UV filter reflecting UVA and UVB radiation; does not absorb into the skin, well tolerated by sensitive skin.
  • Titanium dioxide 4.5% – mineral UV filter providing a wide spectrum of protection, especially effective in UVB.
  • Resveratrol 1% (Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract) – antioxidant neutralizing free radicals and supporting cell regeneration.
  • Hyaluronic acid (Sodium Hyalurone) – binds water in the epidermis, moisturizes and improves skin elasticity.
  • Provitamin B5 (Panthenol) – soothes irritation, accelerates regeneration of the epidermal barrier.
  • Tocopherol and tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) – antioxidants to strengthen protection against UV-induced oxidative stress.

Usage

  1. Apply the appropriate amount of face, neck and neck cream.
  2. Gently massage into the skin as the last stage of morning care.
  3. Reapply every 2 hours during sun exposure.
  4. Reapply also after contact with water or intense sweating.
  5. The product can be used as a base for makeup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is that a mineral or chemical filter?

Dermomedica Resveratrol Mineral Cream SPF 30 contains only mineral filters – zinc oxide (6%) and titanium dioxide (4.5%). It does not contain chemical (organic) filters such as oxybenzone, avobenzone or octocrilene. Mineral filters work on the principle of physical UV reflection, do not penetrate the skin and are well tolerated by sensitive and vascular skin.

Does the cream protect against UVA and UVB radiation?

Yes – zinc oxide and titanium dioxide together provide protection against a wide spectrum of radiation, covering both UVB (responsible for sunburn) and UVA (responsible for photochemical ageing and skin DNA damage).

Does the cream leave white marks on the skin?

Mineral filters at higher concentrations can produce the effect of a white raid – this is a characteristic of this group of ingredients. The Dermomedica Resveratrol Mineral Cream consists of a silicone base (cyclopentasiloxane, dimeticone), which improves the distribution and reduces the effect of white chestnut, but with dark carnations a small lightening effect can be seen.

Can you use immediately after laser or chemical peeling?

Yes – the product is especially indicated in recovery after dermatological and aesthetic treatments. Lack of chemical filters eliminates the risk of skin irritation with breached barrier, and panthenol and hyaluronic acid actively support regeneration. The decision on the first application after a specific procedure should be consulted with the performing specialist.

How often do you reapply cream while in the sun?

The manufacturer recommends reapplying every 2 hours during exposure to the sun, as well as after contact with water or intense sweating. This is a standard requirement for effective UV protection – a single application in the morning does not provide protection throughout the day with active outdoors.

Is the cream suitable for makeup?

Yes – Dermomedica Resveratrol Mineral Cream SPF 30 can serve as a base for makeup. Silicone formula base promotes smooth primer application and also provides UV protection as the last step of morning care.

Does cream replace antioxidant serum?

Partly – resveratrol 1% and vitamin E contained in the cream act antioxidantly and neutralize free UV induced radicals. However, if someone uses a dedicated antioxidant serum with higher asset concentrations (e.g. vitamin C), the cream will not replace it, but will well supplement such routine as protection with additional antioxidant support.

What kind of skin is this cream for?

The cream is indicated for dry, dehydrated, normal, sensitive and vascular skin and irritated or weakened skin after treatment. Due to the richer silicone formulation is not an optimal choice for very greasy and acne skin – people with such skin type should consider a lighter, mating formula.
