Description of action
Björn Axén Cool Blonde Coloring Silver Hair Mask works on a color toning basis: included in the formula purple pigments (Acid Violet 43 and Acid Red 52) optically neutralize yellow and copper reflexes that appear in blond, grey and brightened hair. The effect is gradual – the exposure time can be extended in subsequent applications, adjusting the intensity of neutralisation to its own needs.
In addition to the color mask, the hair structure is nurtured. Ceramides and oat lipids (Oat Oil – Avena Sativa Kernel Oil) strengthen the natural barrier of the hair, limiting its porosity and susceptibility to fluff. Arginine and panthenol moisturize the band from within and prevent breaking. Vegetable oils – olive oil and castor oil – further smooth the surface of the scales and add shine.
The formula contains a UV filter (Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate), which reduces color degradation and hair damage caused by solar radiation. This is particularly important for dyed and brightened hair, more vulnerable to UV destruction.
To whom?
- Blonde hair – natural, dyed or brightened – with a tendency to yellow
- Grey hair that takes yellowish tones
- Hair after chemical treatments (colourisation, lightening, permanent ondulation)
- Fuzzing and difficult to arrange hair
- Hair weakened and vulnerable to breaking, requiring hydration
- Each type of light hair, regardless of the thickness of the band
Key active ingredients
- Acid Violet 43 and Acid Red 52 (violet pigments): Neutralize yellow and copper tones, restoring a cool shade of blond or pure white gray.
- Ceramide Ng (ceramide): strengthens the natural protective barrier of the hair, seals the shell and reduces loosening.
- Avena Sativa Kernel Oil: provides lipid supplemental structure of damaged hair, smoothes and nourishes.
- Arginine (arginine): moisturizing amino acid that penetrates inside the hair and prevents it from breaking.
- Panthenol (provitamin B5): binds water inside the band, increases flexibility and reduces split ends.
- Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (UV filter): protects the pigment and hair structure from UV-induced damage.
- Olea Europaea Fruit Oil and Ricinus Communis Seed Oil (Ricin oil and oil): smooth the surface of the scales, give shine and facilitate combing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of hair is this mask for?
The mask is designed for any type of blond and grey hair – whether thin, thick, natural or dyed. It will especially work with hair after chemical treatments, such as lightening or coloring, as well as with hair puffing.
How long do you keep the mask on your hair?
The minimum exposure time is 3 minutes. If you want to have a stronger neutralizing effect on the yellow tones, you can gradually extend the time in subsequent uses and observe the result.
How often do I use the Björn Axén Cool Blonde mask?
The manufacturer recommends regular use to maintain the effect – frequency you choose to the intensity of yellowing of the hair and the degree of their destruction. In practice, toning masks are usually used 1 to 2 times a week or in place of a standard conditioner for each washing.
Does the mask change the color of the hair to purple or blue?
When observing the recommended exposure time (from 3 minutes) the mask does not stain the hair purple – pigments act selectively on yellow tones. The risk of staining can occur at very long retention on strongly brightened, very porous hair; it is worth starting from a shorter time and gradually prolonging it.
Does the mask contain a UV filter?
Yes – the composition includes Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (Octinoxate), which protects the hair from sun damage. This is especially important in summer and with hair dyed, more prone to fading and UV degradation.
Does the mask wear wet or dry hair?
The mask is applied to hair dried with a towel after shampooing – they should not be completely dry or strongly water-dried. Lightly moist bands better absorb active ingredients.
Is the product suitable for sensitive scalp?
The composition contains Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate as preservatives and Parfum (a fragrance composition) which can cause irritation in people with very sensitive scalp. If you are prone to allergic reactions or irritations, try allergic before first use.
Is the mask suitable for dyed hair?
Yes – the mask is dedicated among others to dyed hair and after chemical treatments. Ceramides and oat lipids support the reconstruction of a hair structure weakened by chemical processes, and UV filter slows the color fade.
