SRS Fosfatidylcholine, also called lecithin, is a polyunsaturated organic compound found in the cell membranes of higher organisms. It plays an important role in the process of metabolic transport - it controls substances leaving the cell and absorbed by it. After application, an enzyme reaction is induced to facilitate fat dissolution by producing monoglycerides that are transported to the liver and metabolised by beta-oxidation. This removes excess fat.
